QuickBooks Time (TSheets) Integration
Clockwise can import employees, job codes, and historical timesheet data from QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets). This is the recommended path if you're migrating from TSheets to Clockwise.
What Gets Imported
Users — Employees from your TSheets account (matched to existing Clockwise users by email).Groups — TSheets groups are mapped to Clockwise approval groups.Job Codes — TSheets job codes are imported as Clockwise charge codes.Job Code Assignments — Which employees are assigned to which job codes.Timesheet Data — Historical time entries, importable by date range.Setup
Go to Settings > Integrations.Select TSheets / QuickBooks Time.Follow the authorization flow to connect your QuickBooks Time account.Import Steps
Step 1 — Preview
Before anything is created, Clockwise shows you a preview of all data it found in TSheets. Each entity (users, job codes, timesheets) is listed with a status:
New — Will be created in Clockwise.Match — Already exists in Clockwise (matched by email or name); will be skipped or merged.Error — A problem was found (e.g., missing email). These rows are skipped.Step 2 — Configure Options
Match existing users only — If enabled, Clockwise will only map TSheets records to Clockwise users that already exist (no new users created). Useful if your team is already in Clockwise.Date range for timesheets — Select the start and end dates for the historical time data you want to pull in.Step 3 — Confirm
Click Confirm Import. Clockwise processes the import and shows a summary of what was created, skipped, and errored.
Tips
Run the preview first and review it carefully before confirming — imported timesheets cannot be automatically undone. If you only want to import users and job codes (not timesheet history), leave the date range blank.Imported timesheets will be in Draft status. Employees or admins can review and submit them as needed.
