Clockwise Timesheets

Burndown

The Burndown tab tracks how a Time & Materials contract is spending against its ceiling — projected vs. actual dollars across the period of performance. Find it on Account Detail, between Billing Review and Invoices. Available on the Pro and Enterprise plans.

Burndown is Time & Materials-focused. FFP (Firm Fixed Price) CLINs are excluded, so an all-FFP account or PoP shows an empty state.

What You're Looking At

Pick a Period of Performance and Clockwise charts cumulative spend against the CLIN ceiling:

  • Actual — worked hours × the LCAT rate, accumulated over the period (not invoiced amounts).
  • Projected — the ceiling distributed across the invoice periods.
  • Ceiling — a reference line you don't want to cross, plus a marker for today.
  • View the account as a whole (PoP rollup) or drill into a single CLIN.

    Projection Modes

A toggle controls how the projected line spreads the ceiling across invoice periods:

  • Straight-line — every invoice period gets an equal share.
  • Working days — each period is weighted by its number of working days (weekdays minus company holidays), so a short month projects a smaller spend than a long one.
  • Switching modes — and drilling into a CLIN — is instant, with no reload.

    KPIs

  • Ceiling — the T&M ceiling being burned against.
  • Burned to date — actual spend, plus what percent of the ceiling that is.
  • Projected to date — where the plan says you should be by now.
  • Variance — ahead (green) or behind (amber) the projection.
  • Pace to year-end — a run-rate extrapolation of where you'll land.
  • Who Can See It

Admins, owners, and finance can open Burndown on any account. A regular user who is an account manager on the account sees it too, read-only. See Accounts for the underlying POP / CLIN / LCAT model.
